When I decided to start training for Melbourne Marathon in March 2016, running has become an essential part of my lifestyle. I love the peaceful easy feeling during running. It allows me to set my mind free and prepare to accept any challenge in the future.
At the end of this August, I will leave Melbourne, the place where I have lived for five years, and back to China, my home base. However, rather than fly back home directly, I will spend the whole September traveling around the counties that I will passby, including Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam and China.
Running and Home, the two most important elements in my life. I feel it will be interesting to combine them together in this journey. That’s how #RunToHome comes into my mind.
Here are some basic ideas of #RunToHome:
- No matter the pace.
- Run at least 10k in the city where I stay over 24hrs
- Upload both route and local culture snapshot
- Follow the marathon course as far as possible if the city held marathon race before.
It is no matter how fast or how far I run, the thing only matter is that every small step I run in this journey will take me closer home.
